Learn to play the ukulele with Music Beat

March 27, 2018

Music Beat offers Ukulele lessons at workshops across Brisbane

Do you wish you played an instrument? Never had the chance to learn? OR forgotten how to play?

Well come along to our parent ukulele workshops for beginners and learn!

Here at Music Beat we believe that you are your children’s first and most important teacher.

Our workshops aims to provide you with another great skill to continue using music in your home after our great classes.

Workshops will cover:

  • the basics of the uke, how to hold it, care for it and tune it (check out Miss Vicky’s video above)
  • basic chords that allow you to play a wide range of songs on the uke
  • basic strumming patterns
  • traditional and popular children’s songs we use in our groups
  • fun songs for grown ups too!

We will also hook you up with some great resources to take home to support you after the workshop.

Don’t own a ukulele? That’s OK – you can purchase one from us when you come along!

  • Thursday 26 April 2018 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
  • Saturday 19 May 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm (for parents who can’t get out in the evening due to work, family or sleeping babies)

Both workshops will be held at the Centrepoint Church Hall, 240 Hamilton Road  Chermside (Cnr Pfingst and Hamilton Roads, with onsite parking via Pfingst Road).

$20 if you have your own ukulele, and $65 if you need us to supply you with one (you can pick it up at the workshop)
