Miss Sophie is a piano teacher with Music Beat Lessons + Tuition. She is also woodwind teacher and double reed specialist, oboist, clarinet player, saxophone player and pianist.
She has been playing the clarinet since the age of eleven and oboe from the age of 13. Her “oboe dream” is to be a pit musician or specialised baroque oboist. She has been involved in many ensembles such as the UQ Symphony Orchestra, Brisbane Baroque Association, Brisbane Baroque Players, Cambrian Choir and other smaller quartet style ensembles.
Her goal is to be a a junior classroom music teacher or pre-primary music teacher/therapy specialist.
Miss Sophie’s whole life is music and education. Her passion lies with teaching the youngest generation and encouraging musical creativity and confidence in everyone.
She is currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Honours) and Education at the University of Queensland.
